EUBOIA. Histiaia. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 16 mm, 1.83 g, 6 h). Head of the nymph Histiaia to right, wearing wreath of grape leaves and berries. Rev. IΣTI-AIEΩN Nymph seated right on stern of galley, holding stylis in her left hand and resting her right on the deck; on the side of the stern, wing; below, Boeotian shield. BCD Euboia -. BMC -. HGC 4, 1525. McClean -. SNG Copenhagen -. A very rare variety. Minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
